Fred Boels envisioned Capital Connection as a strategy, M&A and fundraising boutique after more than a decade with the leading players in Brussels and London. The idea was simple: Take the dealmaking advantage enjoyed by funds and large co - and bring this to forward-looking entrepreneurs and mid market companies. Fred started his career as an M&A and finance lawyer with Clifford Chance LLP. Later, he was part of Rothschild’s London based retail and leisure M&A team - and was a principal with BCG London, a leading strategy consultancy, where he was a core member of the consumer & tech practice. Fred holds a master in law and a master in commercial engineering from the University of Leuven, as well as an MBA from INSEAD, where he currently serves as President of the Belgian Alumni Network
